ResponsibilitiesAssists physicians during electrophysiology procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, radio frequency ablation, and other miscellaneous procedures required by operating the electrophysiology recorder, hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures. Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications- Must possess one of the following certifications:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES / LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED FOR PREFERRED:
- Experience in electrophysiology or interventional cardiac cath lab.
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification (formerly NASPE) or prior electrophysiology experience.
- Certified Electrophysiology Specialist (CEPS) - Allied Health.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
