Job DescriptionPosition Overview
Prismecs is seeking a full-time Gas Turbine Engineer based in Houston, TX with strong experience in gas turbine systems and a proven background in engineering team leadership
.
This role is critical to strengthening our U.S. engineering operations and supporting our expanding power generation portfolio across EPC, O&M, and long-term service agreements.
The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on technical expertise combined with the ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and interface directly with clients and senior leadership.
Houston-based candidates only. This role is on‑site and does not offer relocation or sponsorship.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on gas turbine–based power generation projects
- Support engineering design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and performance optimization
- Lead and mentor engineering teams across multiple projects
- Coordinate with project management, commercial, and field teams
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and calculations
- Support proposal development and technical bid evaluations
- Interface with OEMs, vendors, and clients for technical alignment
- Ensure compliance with U.S. codes, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations
- Support site visits, audits, and performance assessments when required
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in gas turbine engineering
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams
- Strong understanding of power generation systems
- Experience working with aeroderivative and/or heavy‑duty gas turbines
- Knowledge of balance of plant systems
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills
- Ability to work full-time in Houston, TX
- Experience supporting EPC or long‑term O&M projects
- Experience with OEM platforms (GE, Siemens, etc.)
- PE license (preferred but not required)
- Experience supporting multi‑MW utility‑scale or industrial plants
