Tebo Dental, an Atlanta-based pediatric & teen dental group, is looking for a professional to join our motivated and ambitious team. Responsibilities:- Build positive rapport with patients and parents by delivering exceptional customer service
- Promptly respond to incoming calls for the orthodontic department
- Schedule and confirm appointments according to company protocol
- Verify insurance benefits and add coverage information to electronic patient files
- Prepare and submit traditional insurance claims via fax or mail
- Follow up on the status of claims to ensure they pay timely and communicate with insurance companies when discrepancies are identified
- Research accounts to address billing or balance inquiries and contact parents to advise of outstanding balances and/or collect payments
- Audit the schedule for past due balances to flag appropriate appointments for collection
- Create and update claim aging reports and present this information in bi-weekly team meetings
- Generate reports of patients who need to be appointed and contact them to schedule
- Set up payment arrangements with billing party
- Prepare and submit the End of Day and Production/Collection reports for all practices
- Update and maintain the Non-Zero Account report
- Update the appropriate spreadsheet each month after accounts are prepared for collections
- Post and activate/deactivate recurring payments through NMI, our online payment processing portal
- Use integrated software to send monthly Ortho billing statements
- Other duties as assigned
- Fluency in Spanish is required
- At least one year of experience working in accounts receivable is preferred
- Previous experience in an orthodontic, dental, or medical practice is preferred
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, terminology, and insurance providers is a plus
- Dolphin practice management software experience is preferred
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention-to-detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as needed
