Senior Safety Case Consultant

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior Safety Case Consultant to be engaged on a permanent basis in West Cumbria or Warrington.

The Role

Lead and deliver nuclear safety cases, including hazard identification and risk assessment.

Produce, review and approve high-quality technical documentation to meet strict regulatory standards.

Define safety strategies and integrate safety principles into engineering design and operations.

Manage projects ranging from short, focused assessments to complex, multi-year programmes.

Prepare proposals, support tenders and oversee financial reporting for projects you lead.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients and regulators to deliver agreed outcomes on time and within budget.

Mentor and develop junior consultants through technical guidance, review and coaching.

What You'll Bring

A degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.

Significant experience in nuclear safety case development or assessment.

Strong understanding of nuclear plant operations, regulatory frameworks and safety management principles.

Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.

Confidence engaging with clients and regulators.

Chartered status with a recognised professional body (desirable).
