Java Full Stack Engineer - Consultant / Senior Consultant

UK (Hybrid Remote with client site travel)

We're supporting a leading digital consultancy in hiring Java Full Stack Engineers who want to use technology to improve outcomes for UK public sector organisations. You'll work closely with clients, engineers and delivery teams to build modern, scalable services that make a real difference to citizens and frontline staff.

As part of a multi‑disciplinary agile team, you'll design and build full‑stack solutions across major public sector transformation programmes. You'll contribute to high‑impact digital services using modern engineering practices, cloud technologies and CI/CD pipelines.

• Building robust Java/Spring Boot microservices
• Developing modern front‑end applications with React, Type Script/JavaScript, HTML & CSS
• Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins)

• Using Docker and containerised approaches
• Delivering cloud‑native solutions on AWS or Azure
• Working directly with public sector stakeholders to shape successful outcomes
• Collaborating with agile teams across engineering, design, data and product

• Strong experience building Java microservices with Spring Boot
• Front‑end experience with React and Type Script/Java Script
• Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline delivery
• Git and modern version control workflows
• Docker/Docker Compose
• Experience working in agile, collaborative environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Terraform or other Infrastructure‑as‑Code tools

• Experience working with  standards or in the UK public sector
• Exposure to Node.js, Kotlin or C#
• Experience integrating solutions with LLMs (Lang Chain, Vercel AI, etc.)
