Hours per week: 17 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday 16:00 - 20:00;
Sunday 12:00 - 17:00 (The role is a part-time position will be offered on a zero-hours contract basis.) Reporting to:
Kitchen Team Leader and Shop Manager

Main Purpose and Scope of the Job

The role is responsible for promoting the highest degree of cleanliness and hygiene set by the Company by cleaning the kitchen and shop floor area. They are required to strictly adhere to the legal requirements of health and safety as they contribute to a safe and clean working environment, ensuring all food production is safe for consumption.

  • Meticulous cleaning of the entire kitchen area:
  • All appliances, including oven, stove, etc.
  • All work surfaces, including wall, etc.
  • Hobs, including pan supports.
  • Exhaust fans.
  • The sink.
  • Kitchen floor.
  • Ventilation, including the filter.
  • Use electrical and mechanical equipment, chemicals when necessary after appropriate training.
  • Use stepladders when necessary and with due regard to health and safety of themselves or others.
  • Comply with rules and regulations in Korea Foods Company;
    Employee Handbook, health and safety manual.
  • Manage the recycling and waste.
  • Wear protective clothing provided.
  • Follow reasonable instructions from Kitchen Team Leader and Shop Manager.
  • Ad-hoc cleaning tasks on the shop floor as requested.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be beneficial, but not essential. Good hygiene standards are required.
  • Have good attention to detail, able to work under own initiative ensuring the kitchen is thoroughly clean.
  • Build positive working relationships with other kitchen team members, ensuring cleaning does not interfere with their responsibilities.
  • Be organised with excellent time management.
  • Be aware, adhere to and understand Food Hygiene regulations, personal safety procedures.
  • Handle physically demanding workload; able to handle heavy goods.
