Overview
Project Manager – Industrial Construction & Warehouse Transformation:
We’re hiring a Project Manager to lead an industrial transformation, including a warehouse extension, equipment relocation, and production layout optimisation. You’ll oversee construction, procurement, safety compliance, budgeting, and risk management while coordinating contractors and cross-functional teams. This role suits a hands-on leader with strong industrial project experience, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to drive operational change in a fast-moving environment.
- Plan and execute the construction of a new warehouse extension, ensuring correct day-to-day priorities.
- Plan and execute the relocation of warehouse equipment and inventory to the new facility.
- Manage potential layout changes to optimise production while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and subcontractor management.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure effective communication among internal and external stakeholders.
- Support in preparing and presenting regular project status reports to senior management.
Industrial and Functional Expertise
- Proven experience in managing construction projects, preferably industrial or warehouse facilities.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards relevant to warehouse and production environments.
- Experience with procurement and vendor management, including negotiating contracts and managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics processes, including inventory flow and equipment setup.
- Understanding of health & safety requirements for warehouse and production settings.
Project Management Skills
- Ability to manage budgets and assess cost estimates for construction and relocation activities.
- Strong risk management skills to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including coordination with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams (construction, logistics, production).
- Experience in change management for operational transitions.
- Proactive problem-solving approach to challenges.
