HGV Technician

Overview

We are currently seeking a HGV Technician on behalf of our Client, an automotive long-established franchise‑approved commercial vehicle dealership based in the Cross Hands area. The successful HGV Fitter can expect an hourly salary of up to £18.50 per hour with working hours of 42.5‑hour Mon‑Fri split shift rota: week one is 6:00 am‑2:30 pm and week two is 2:00 pm‑10:30 pm. Also, 1 in 2 Sat 7:00 am‑12:00 pm paid  Client is looking for a HGV Technician to join their busy team;

this is a full‑time position and our Client is looking for individuals with previous working experience within the role.

• Starting salary between £#removed# per hour, pending experience/qualifications
• Overtime paid at an enhanced rate of time and a half or double time, depending on the time of day.
• Performance‑based quarterly bonus.
• Optional breakdown assistance van coverage on a 1 in 3/4 weekly rota offering massive financial benefits – £350 paid per shift with a £30 call‑out payment per call outside of shift hours and an enhanced hourly rate.
• 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. Option to increase at 5 years or have an additional £50 per month in pay.

• Servicing, repair and maintenance of HGVs
• Completion of job sheets and documentation
• Liaising with the service department and parts department
• Completion of MOT preparation

• Previous working experience within the role
• Fully qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Excellent mechanical knowledge
• A Class 1 licence may be beneficial to your application
