Group Financial Controller

A fast-pace, professional services business with an international presence is seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join its finance leadership team.

This is a pivotal role with responsibility for group financial control, consolidation and compliance across a complex, multi-entity environment. The position offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and plays a key role in supporting the growth of the business.

The Role

Working with the senior leadership, you will lead group accounting and oversee the controllership activity.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of financial accounting, month-end close and balance sheet integrity
• Ownership of group consolidation, reporting and audit processes
• Preparation of statutory accounts and compliance activities
• Development and maintenance of group finance policies, including transfer pricing
• Leadership, mentoring and development of a small team and oversight of a wider finance function
• Partnering with FP&A, treasury and external advisers
• Delivery of ad-hoc projects supporting strategic and operational priorities

About You

You will be a technically strong, commercially aware finance leader with experience operating in a sophisticated / complex business.

Key requirements include:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, Big 4 background advantageous)
• Experience with group consolidation experience
• Experience managing and developing finance teams
• Excellent attention to detail, judgement and stakeholder communication skills
• Advanced Excel capability and experience with modern finance systems
