• Candidates with tutoring experience, or with teaching experience in the UK independent schools (KS2 to KS4), are highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge and expertise in specific subjects or areas of study.
• Ability to employ a wide range of training methods to engage learners and improve their scores.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and academic abilities.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Strong organisational skills to effectively manage tutoring sessions and maintain accurate records.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and providing a safe and inclusive learning environment.

• Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in a professional manner.
• Maintain the student’s confidentiality at all times with respect to private and personal information.
• Assess students’ abilities and academic needs, and provide a tuition timetable outlining dates and times for the agreed tuition period to QED and the student before the first lesson.
• Develop tuition plans that address the students' requirements.
• Deliver engaging and interactive tutoring sessions that promote a deep understanding of the subject matter.
• Assess and review students’ homework and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor students' progress and track their academic performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including student attendance and progress reports.

This is a part-time role under a direct Contract for Services with QED Education. Tutors will be self‑employed for tax purposes and are responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes and National Insurance contributions.
