Assistant Residence Director – Registered Behavioral Technician
Pay: $26 per hour
Sign‑on bonus: $1,000
OverviewThis Assistant Residence Director – Registered Behavioral Technician provides day‑to‑day services to program participants. The role includes direct care, training and supervision of staff, managing participant funds and budgets, planning and scheduling staff and activities, medication management and compliance with individualized plans, ensuring accurate documentation, and providing leadership in the absence of the Residential Director.
Responsibilities Direct Care- Provide direct support services to participants for at least 32 hours per week, modeling appropriate strategies and providing learning opportunities.
- Treat all individuals with respect, dignity, and support their control over routine activities.
- Assist participants in the community and at home to master skills that promote social participation.
- Support existing relationships and expand networks of friends and acquaintances.
- Assist with household shopping and maintenance, increasing participant responsibilities.
- Supervise staff directly and act as a team leader.
- Lead teams by example through role‑modeling and coaching.
- Facilitate constructive problem‑solving, especially in the absence of the Residential Director.
- Promote teamwork via open communication and a positive attitude.
- Ensure client transportation using agency or personal vehicles as needed.
- Implement ISP/Support Plans as written and at the specified frequency.
- Collect accurate data and use described support strategies.
- Maintain individual program books ensuring data accuracy.
- Review monthly data and prepare progress notes quarterly or as required.
- Attend ISP meetings.
- Follow and model all routines such as behavior support, nursing care, and therapeutic plans.
- Assist staff training on intervention strategies and data collection procedures.
- Respond effectively to safety hazards and emergencies, maintaining a safe environment.
- Contact supervisors during concerns or crises.
- Model therapeutically appropriate support strategies.
- Assist in managing participant funds and operational budgets.
- Participate in Incident Review processes.
- Ensure billable services are accurately documented and reconciled by deadlines.
- Plan and schedule staff, maintain staffing budgets and monitor services.
- Ensure compliance with Rhode Island/Seven Hills policies and licensing regulations.
- Follow union contract provisions.
- Participate in On‑Call responsibilities.
- Track program staff certifications.
- Prior direct care experience strongly preferred.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency.
- Effective verbal, non‑verbal, visual, and written communication.
- Basic budgeting and mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated tact, good judgment, and initiative with participants, peers, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Registered Behavior Technician Certification, or completion within six months of hire.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.
