Overview

Retail Store Associate (FT)

The Store associate completes tasks that support the Store Manager and the overall customer base. These tasks may include carrying out daily procedures like restocking shelves, organizing supply rooms or managing the cash register. Their job is also to provide customer support in all departments.

• Greet customers as they enter the location.
• Answer customer questions, respond to customer requests and resolve customer issues.
• Complete accurate and efficient register transactions.
• Perform inventory duties such as unloading, scanning and stocking products onto the shelves.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Excellent critical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple calculations.
• Extensive knowledge about the store product and services and customer-related policies.
• Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store s point-of-sale system.
• Integrity.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
• General Knowledge of Fabrics and Crafts is a plus.
• Knowledge of Hardware is a plus.

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Successful completion of job training period.

• Prolonged period of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
• Must be able to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Demonstrate leadership qualities and promote a positive, safe and clean work atmosphere.

• Store hours Monday - Saturday: 8am to 8pm and Sunday: 10am to 5pm.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends on a rotating basis.
