Maintenance Plumber - Full Time, Days (Culver City)

Maintenance – Plumber performs duties related to the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems throughout the facility. Performs preventative maintenance to ensure upkeep of the hospital plumbing systems.

• Repairs and maintains sanitation systems such as bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks in accordance with blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications, with hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Repairs or replaces defective parts via soldering or pro-press community trade standards.
• Install plumbing systems such as sinks, toilets, tubs and supports, hangers for plumbing fixtures and pipes.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to ensure plumbing equipment is fully functional. In addition, monitors pressure gauges and plumbing related equipment. Performs testing of plumbing systems, continuously identifies and repairs any leaks and/or deficiencies.
• Takes conscious ownership for work and takes a proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful approach regarding work activities. Demonstrates appropriate use of independent judgement and decision making. Demonstrates excellent customer service at all times. Maintains confidentiality in accordance with hospital/corporate policies and HIPAA privacy regulations. Complies with all hospital fire and safety rules.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Plumbing certificate or trade school equivalent
• Two years previous experience working under a licensed plumber or plumbing company as maintenance plumber or general maintenance
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment to resolve issues
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only)

• Bilingual skills
