Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Healthcare Hospital Patrol in Culver City, CA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security‑related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and use teamwork to deliver reliable service.

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $18.67 / Hour
Job Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity and/or policy violations that may help to deter incidents.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including disturbances, medical‑related alerts as directed, and/or requests for assistance from hospital personnel.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management tasks as assigned, such as directing foot traffic, verifying identification when required by post orders, and/or helping maintain orderly lobby and waiting areas.
- Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site contacts, and assist with investigations by documenting facts and preserving information per site procedures.
- Have at least 1 year of security experience.
- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
