The AWS Global Sales Compensation (GSC) Operations team seeks a Sales Compensation Systems Analyst to support day‑to‑day administration of the Varicent ICM sales compensation system for sales incentive‑eligible employees worldwide. The role focuses on operational process improvements in compensation, quota management, compensation adjustments, quarterly payouts, plan administration, and scalability of program tools.
Key Job Responsibilities- Validate data, quantify impact through analysis, and communicate resolutions and timelines to leadership.
- Identify operational risks and engage stakeholders to frame issues and desired end states.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams on root causes and business requirements.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) for process and system updates.
- Assist with distribution of incentive compensation plans, including plan set‑up, quota shifts, revenue adjustments.
- Ensure all compensation methodologies, policies, procedures, and governance are followed.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders—HR, Tax, Legal—to maintain production processes.
- Support global quarterly commission payout process, including manual adjustments, calculations, and approval.
- Create mechanisms to improve efficiency of processes.
- Strong Excel and SQL skills preferred.
- 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies.
- Prior sales compensation experience.
- Experience with sales ICM tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or similar software.
- 5+ years of finance, business management, and sales operations experience.
- Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company.
Base salary ranges:
- Colorado: $88,100 – $154,100 annually
- National: $79,300 – $169,500 annually
