Our team is looking for an experienced professional to define and push forward our music programming strategy for Hip-Hop. The Music Curator for Amazon Music will support driving customer engagement through the creation and maintenance of playlists, stations and related curatorial tasks crucial to the quality of the Amazon Music customer experience.

• Expertise in Hip-Hop music, trends and nuances.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends, artists, and viral content; demonstrate expertise and implement quick, innovative programming responses.
• Deliver high quality music programming, including playlists and stations.
• Use data to continuously refine content offerings to ensure a fresh and compelling user experience.
• Identify artist and music priorities with Artist & Label Relations teams to support and feature.
• Partner with Catalog team to highlight the depth of artist catalogs tied to campaigns and tent pole moments.
• Work with global teams to elevate and expand music around the world.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with social media, branding, label relations, and merchandising teams to promote and distribute content.
• Drive improvements of tools and techniques to support a growing curated music offering.
• Enhance the team s operational efficiency by automating repetitive tasks, freeing up time for strategic work.
• Collaborate with other curation teams worldwide to share expertise and learnings.
• Build deep relationships with external stakeholders in the music industry.
• Execute a continuous content improvement process.

This Music Curator will set a path towards iteration and improvement by learning about our customers and their behavior through data analysis, working with Content, Marketing, and Industry Relations teams on customer and partner-facing initiatives. The Music Curator will also work with Product and Engineering teams to ensure best-in-class customer experiences.

The Amazon Music team focuses on igniting fandom with customers and finding new fans for artists domestically and globally. We connect music, podcasts, and audio books, and work across the industry to build best-in-class campaigns and initiatives.

• 2+ years of work experience
• Expertise in the Hip-Hop music scene across new music and catalog
• Project management skills, including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meetings

• Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment
• A deep network in the Hip-Hop music industry
• Experience at a record label, publisher, DSP; or programming, radio or music curation

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
