Phony Texts is a scripted storytelling company founded in 2018, reaching over 20M followers across Snapchat and other platforms. We produce short-form, mobile-first narrative content in multiple languages, blending humor, drama, and mystery through chat fiction and screen-based storytelling. As our English and international production pipelines continue to scale, we’re hiring a Post-Production Operations Coordinator to support and manage the day-to-day post-production workflow.
Role Summary:
This is a hands-on, execution-focused post-production role for someone with an editing background who is interested in growing into post-production operations and coordination. You will help keep projects moving smoothly from script lock through delivery by assigning edits, organizing assets, supporting editors, and assisting with reviews across English and international content. This role is ideal for an editor with 3–6 years of experience who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and working across teams.
While the role includes occasional hands-on editing and troubleshooting, it is primarily focused on workflow coordination, asset readiness, and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Production Workflow Support:
- Assist with managing the post-production pipeline for English and international episodes
- Assign episodes to freelance editors and track deadlines
- Help manage editor workloads and episode numbering
- Update and maintain task statuses in Click Up
Asset & Media Organization:
- Help ensure footage and assets are properly encoded, organized, and stored
- Maintain clean Dropbox folder structures and file naming conventions
- Assist with preparing or requesting missing assets for editors
- Support asset locking and handoffs between writers, editors, and translators
Editorial Support & QA:
- Review edits for technical accuracy, formatting, and consistency
- Flag issues and help ensure notes are addressed
- Step into edits when needed to troubleshoot or assist
International Workflow Assistance:
- Assist with assigning and tracking international edits
- Help ensure translated assets are correctly implemented
- Support review of international videos and translator notes
- Coordinate timelines to keep projects on track
Process & Template Support:
- Help maintain and update reusable templates in Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
- Assist with documenting workflows and best practices
- Support ongoing improvements to post-production efficiency
Required Qualifications:
- 2–6 years of experience in video editing or post-production
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro
- Working familiarity with After Effects and Photoshop
- Understanding of post-production workflows and asset management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communicator comfortable working with writers, editors, and producers
- Familiarity with Snapchat, Tik Tok, or mobile-first video formats
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field
- Salary Range:$60,000–$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience
