As a Security Officer - Part Time Patrol in Culpeper, VA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to access control and security-related concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support incident response, and deliver a welcoming customer service experience to employees and visitors. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, including offices, equipment areas, and exterior perimeters, watching for unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry by checking credentials, managing visitor logs, and directing deliveries to designated areas per site requirements.
• Complete routine reports and documentation such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol findings, using required systems and/or paperwork to support security-related operations.

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
