Urgent Care UVA Health in Culpeper, VA

UVA Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care and Same Day/Acute Care team in Culpeper. This role offers a dynamic schedule of same-day/acute care visits, with the support of a nationally recognized academic health system.

What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality care in both primary care and same-day/acute care settings

• Perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans

• Prescribe medications and therapies within Virginia regulations

• Collaborate with physicians and specialists to ensure continuity of care

• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive care

• Participate in quality initiatives, professional development, and student/resident teaching opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program (Master's degree required)

• Licensed (or license-eligible) as an NP or PA in Virginia

• Current BLS certification (ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required based on unit)

• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centered care

Physical & Work Environment

• Standing for prolonged periods, bending/stooping, reaching, and repetitive motion (keyboard use)

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.

• Exposure to typical outpatient clinical environment (blood/body fluids, infectious disease, etc.)
