Supervises Positions:

Responsibilities
  • Assists in the provision of patient care, therapy support, departmental maintenance, and administrative duties as directed by PT, PTA, OTR/L, COTA, SLP in a therapeutic manner which acts to promote the patient s functional ability and lead to improved quality of life.
  • Assist PT/OT/SLP staff in patient treatment under direct supervision of licensed team member.
  • Prepare and maintain department treatment rooms and equipment for patient use.
  • Responsible for assisting with clerical duties for department.
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory (including DME as applicable).
  • Responsible for assisting with departmental safety and quality control monitoring.
  • Responsible for teaching basic rehab technician duties to students and volunteers.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: No experience necessary. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.

  • Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: General working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. General knowledge of medical terminology.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

Physical Demand Code: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand:
The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
