The Delivery Merchandiser – Small Store Trainee CDL is a touch freight position responsible for delivering and rotating stock, and for merchandising shelves, racks, equipment and displays to company standards.

• Transports and unloads products to retail outlets
• Merchandises all product inside the outlet to company standards
• Works in partnership with the Sales Supervisor to execute the picture of success, establishing positive relationships with all customers and providing superior customer service
• Provides feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities as they arise
• Works with all functional team members
• Sets up merchandise and sales‑promotion displays
• Communicates store‑level issues to management
• Complies with DOT rules for driving purposes
• Maintains rapport with customers
• Collects any breakage or out‑of‑date product, including empty shells and pallets
• Accurately accounts for all cases and customer transactions
• Ensures proper care of product, equipment, and route settlement daily
• Delivers, rotates, and merchandises product on shelves, displays and all cold equipment
• Maintains backstock in an organized manner
• Keeps coolers, racks, and shelves clean
• Assists with training, coaching, succession planning of any delivery merchandiser trainees
• Builds strong relationships with customer base across assigned customers
• Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

• Minimum age 21 years
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License required; must maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Ability to maintain DOT physical requirements
• Compliance with PPE requirements and safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
• Professional appearance in accordance with company guidelines
• Responsible for safety and security of company assets
• Abilities to use company provided resources and technology
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively in a fast‑paced environment
• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Capability to present information in 1‑on‑1 and small‑group settings to customers, clients, and other employees
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; use of whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
• Problem‑solving skills
• Self‑motivation; performs duties with minimal supervision
