We are seeking a Warehouse First Line Manager to join one of our biggest online fashion retailers’ sites in Barnsley. You will lead a team, coordinate activities and focus on continuous improvement to promote a team‑based culture.

This is a full‑time, permanent position. You’ll be working Friday to Tuesday
, covering the hours of 14:45 till 23:15.

What

you’ll do on a typical day
  • Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met
  • Monitor team absence and performance, taking action where necessary
  • Work alongside the site quality team to ensure metrics (KPI) and the team are managed in line with the site SLA’s
  • Manage your team’s DCPM effectively to meet or exceed site requirements, providing weekly DCPM reports to line manager
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a complex, fast‑moving logistics/warehouse environment, ideally within eCommerce
  • The ability to work on your own initiative while effectively leading a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of end‑to‑end warehouse processes, health and safety and IOSH is highly desirable
