Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse – Travel Nurse Contract | Cudahy, WI (Milwaukee Area)

Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) travel contract — 13 weeks in Cudahy, WI (near Milwaukee). Seeking perioperative/surgical RNs with orthopedic proficiency and EPIC EMR experience for a Level IV Trauma, 100-bed medical center.

• Setting: 100-bed medical center, Level IV Trauma
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (April 13, 2026 – July 11, 2026)
• Role: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative Nurse — Travel Nurse position
• Shift: Four 10-hour day shifts per week (06:30–17:00), with one set day off each week
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-call: 1 call shift per week (evenings/weekends), 30-minute response time required
• Holiday Expectations: Call only, 1 holiday per contract
• Parking: Free parking available
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job — short-term contract for OR nurses
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250–$2370/week

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin (compact license accepted if applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience
• Orthopedic OR RN proficiency required (shoulder, total joints, hip scopes, etc.)
• Experience circulating, troubleshooting surgical equipment, and setting up orthopedic equipment
• EPIC EMR experience required (documentation and perioperative workflows)
• Familiarity with Hana table, hip distractor, and beach chair positions preferred
• First-time travel nurses considered with manager approval

• Circulate in the OR for a variety of adult surgical cases, including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, podiatry, and select neurosurgical procedures
• Troubleshoot and operate surgical equipment; ensure safe functioning of devices and instruments
• Prepare, set up, and hook up orthopedic equipment (Hana table, distractors, beach chair setups) for procedures
• Document patient care, perioperative assessments, and operative notes using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical techs, and the perioperative team to deliver safe patient outcomes
• Float to pain clinic as relief as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday call rotation as scheduled
• Attend general hospital orientation (1–2 weeks depending on comfort level and prior experience)
