Job OverviewThe Maintenance Planner is responsible for organizing and ensuring the efficiency in the maintenance department, while maximizing maintenance efforts and minimizing the impact of maintenance related downtime. The Maintenance Planner will manage the completion of work orders and provide project support to the maintenance team.
General Responsibilities- Manage, schedule, and procure maintenance supplies, parts, and services for equipment and facility, maintain required documentation
- Organize third-party contractors and vendors
- Develop and utilize maintenance plans and schedules, coordinate maintenance efforts between company personnel
- Work closely with the maintenance supervisor to keep all work orders and spare parts updated in the system
- Keep maintenance logs for minor equipment such as HVAC systems, light bulbs, basic electrical systems, etc.
- Maintain maintenance quality control and compliance with building safety codes.
- Supervise repair processes and log each procedure for future reference
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned
- Understanding of predictive and reliable maintenance
- Strong mechanical aptitude and display understanding of work management processes
- Prioritize multiple projects and tasks, demonstrate strong problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to build a rapport and work with integrity; will interact with team members at all levels of the organization, customers, and outside contacts
- Proven commitment to safety management and leadership
- Responsible and creative budget management skills
- Must have previous inventory experience and working with ordering parts
- Responsible for all other tasks as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Associate degree in a relevant discipline preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years maintenance experience preferred
- Excellent computer and software skills including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, etc.
- Experience with IMaint or other Maintenance Software programs required
