Overview
Gain rewarding experience with Wisconsin Early Autism Project (WEAP) — part of LEARN Behavioral. As a Behavior Technician at WEAP, you’ll help children with autism learn, grow, and build communication, socialization, and self-help skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA).
Responsibilities- Work with kids ages 18 months to 6 years with autism in their homes or in WEAP centers.
- Implement ABA-based therapy under supervision to help children reach individual goals.
- Engage in play-based activities that support learning and development.
- Maintain reliable transportation and consistent weekly schedule as required.
- Adhere to assigned shifts (Part-Time with Full-Time potential; schedule typically 8am–6pm CST, Monday–Friday, with possible weekends).
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (minimum education requirement).
- Daily access to reliable transportation.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Minimum age 18 on or before first day of employment.
- Availability to work a consistent weekly schedule mornings, afternoons, and/or evenings.
- Earn starting pay at $17/hr and up based on ABA experience/training.
- Bi-lingual with English/Spanish fluency is a plus.
- Studies in psychology, education, special education, childcare, behavioral health, health science, or related field.
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., babysitter, nanny, tutor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, etc.).
- Interest in pursuing a career in behavior analysis, behavioral health, teaching, or related fields.
- Desire to create lasting, positive change for children and families.
- Full-time employees may earn up to 15 days of paid time off (PTO) after 90 days.
- Part-time employees are eligible for sick leave.
- Physical requirements vary by client assignment and may include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds; ability to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run as needed.
