What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.
- Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
- Monitor residents' health and behavior, and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.
- Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.
- Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
- Uphold the mission, values, and care standards of Health Dimensions Group in all interactions.
- Collaborate with Team Members:
Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care. - Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.
Experience & Training
- Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence.
- Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.
- Able to assist with resident transfers and physical support using proper techniques.
