Process Technician

Minneapolis, MN

Compensation: $21.00 / hr.

Contractor Work Model:
Onsite

Hours:

6:00 AM-2:30 PM | Monday-Friday. However, this is a flex position and candidates must be flexible and have the ability to work other hours. With advance notification, the candidate will be required to flex to a different shift or have different hours based on evolving business needs.

• This candidate may be required to work up to 4 hours of overtime before or after their assigned shift and/or occasionally support 8-16 hours on the weekend.

Process Technician

Job Duties
  • Safely operate equipment and follow all food safety rules.
  • Identify safety risks and help fix them.
  • Lead or support team projects focused on improving safety.
  • Run different machines and systems efficiently.
  • Train and help other employees learn equipment and processes.
  • Set up, clean, and inspect equipment after sanitation.
  • Support maintenance, electrical, and control system work as needed.
Process Technician Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be comfortable with lifting up to 55 lbs.
  • Works well with others to get the job done.
  • Comfortable using basic computer programs (like Microsoft Office).
  • Able to think through problems and find solutions.
  • Can train, coach, and support teammates.
  • Can explain technical information in a way others understand.
  • Comfortable working in a plant or production environment.
  • Confident operating equipment on their own.
  • Communicates clearly with coworkers and customers.
  • Understands and follows food safety and workplace safety rules.
  • Can adapt to changes and a fast-moving work environment.
  • Builds positive working relationships with others.
  • Handles disagreements and resolves issues professionally.
  • Willing to learn new things and pick them up quickly.
  • Stays calm and makes good decisions under pressure.
  • Can troubleshoot and fix basic technical or mechanical issues.

  • Shows leadership and takes ownership of their work.
  • Can juggle multiple tasks and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of previous work experience in a similar field.
  • Food service & Laboratory experience.
  • Passionate around the creation of food, CPG industry, and consumer trends (both food and packaging)
PHYSICAL/OTHER POTENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required.
  • Ability to lift, manipulate and transport up to 55 lbs.
  • Ability to work in hot/warm/cool conditions within the plant
  • Ability to work with care around hazardous compounds/gases
  • Ability to climb up and down ladders/stairs and maintain three points of contact
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including Standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and twisting over surfaces.
  • Will use powered lifts (stackers, pallet jacks)
  • Will work around industrial high-speed moving machinery
  • Will adhere to all safety standards
  • Will adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure Food Safety
  • This position involves potential exposure to common allergens including but not limited to milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame.
  • Ability to work around equipment that may have electromagnetic interference
