Description

JA Frate, Inc. is seeking a reliableiums and experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our team! We are LTL and FTL touch freight – all pick up and delivery, no drop & hook. As a CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials locally in a safe and timely manner.

We currently have 2nd shift available – this is a full‑time position out of sisters Crystal Lake home‑base terminal. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9–10 hour shifts. No weekends!

Must have a valid CDL A and be able to drive a tractor‑trailer combination installieren a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) to transport a variety of pallet and non‑palletized goods. May be required to load and unload the truck occasionally; forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• Transport goods and materials to various locations
• Ensure all cargo is secured properly and safely
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other teamplifiers
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience driving with CDL
  
  A.
• Pickup and delivery experience preferred.
• CDL Hazardous Materials & Tanker Endorsements preferred—will be required to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks within required time frames.
• Ability to take care of the customer’s needs while following company procedures

• Ability to demonstrate professional conduct conforming to a set of values and accepted standards.
• Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Ability to be internally inspired to perform a task to the best of one’s ability using his/her own drive or initiative.
• High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
• Must be at least 23 years old and have a minimum of two years experience operating tractor/trailer equipment.
• No convictions for a “serious or disqualifying traffic violation” within the last three years. No more than four moving violations in the past 36 months, and no more than two moving violations in the previous 12 months.
• Must be able to pass drug screen, DOT physical and Functional Employment Physical. Must be willing to participate in Random Drug Program.
