Join our team as a Transportation Coordinator and become a vital link between McHenry County’s seniors and the dedicated volunteers who support them. In this part-time role, you will play a crucial part in the Senior Care Volunteer Network’s mission to provide free, essential transportation services, enabling seniors to attend medical appointments, complete their grocery shopping, and enjoy social outings. Your efforts will not only help maintain the independence and well-being of our senior community but also foster a sense of purpose and connection among our volunteers.

- Reviews all ride requests for transportation services
- Call/E-Mail volunteers to highlight open ride requests and solicit volunteers to consider filling open transportation requests – working a minimum of 2-3 days in advanceினார்
- Ensures all rides are closed out promptly with appropriate completion status in the transportation software portal
- Monitor ride trends and volunteer/rider balance to ensure optimal service
- Identify where areas of critical volunteer/CR imbalance are and share that information with the volunteer coordinator to implement a driver recruitment plan
- Maintaining driver compliance and updating volunteer driver profiles
- Utilize the transportation software application calendar to track time-off updates from volunteers to manage better the supply and demand aspects of transportation services (training provided)
- Provide support to new drivers reviewing transportation policies and use of the program portal
- Report any driver issues, concerns, and/or incidents to the volunteer program coordinator, who will handle them accordingly
- Present any care receiver concerns to the intake coordinator, who will handle them accordingly
- Report weekly on ride requests to suggest max capacity cut-offs or impending driver shortages to prevent unsatisfied care receivers
- Submit monthly transportation program report to the Program Director
- Provide team support to the volunteer receptionists and other office mates in areas of shared responsibilities
- Engage in ongoing driver support calls and assist in reactivating volunteer drivers
- Support the entire office team with shared office daily tasks (keeping the office tidy

- Computer literate and familiar with MS Office 365
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems, such as record keeping
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality guidelines
