🌊 Summer Job Alert:
Lifeguards Wanted! 🚨

Want a summer job that actually matters? Love the water, working outdoors, and being part of a team? The Crystal Lake Park District is hiring Lifeguards to help keep our beach safe, fun, and welcoming all summer long!

This is an awesome opportunity for teens who are responsible, confident, and ready to step into a leadership role.

As a Lifeguard, you’ll:

• Watch swimmers and beach areas to keep everyone safe.
• Prevent accidents by spotting unsafe behavior early.
• Respond to water and land emergencies using your training.
• Perform rescues when needed.
• Enforce beach rules in a calm, respectful way.
• Help guests and answer questions with a friendly attitude.
• Work as part of a team and support fellow lifeguards.
• Attend weekly trainings and staff meetings.
• Help with light cleanup to keep the beach looking great.

You’re a great fit if you:

• Are at least 16 years old.
• Can earn prior to the start of the season or already have:
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard / First Aid / CPR / AED Certification
• Can pass lifeguard skill tests and a vision screening.
• Stay alert, focused, and calm in busy situations.
• Are comfortable enforcing rules and speaking up when safety matters.
• Show responsibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude.

👉 No experience? No problem! Training is provided.

• 20–40 hours per week, depending on weather and attendance
• This is a seasonal position, May 12-September 1.
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings (4th of July Fireworks is required)

• Build leadership and lifesaving skills.
• Earn certifications that look great on college and job applications.
• Work outdoors instead of behind a desk.
