Overview

General Kinematics is the premier manufacturer of vibrating equipment for the processing of bulk materials. From vibratory feeders to entire process systems, General Kinematics creates the solutions customers require to process even the most difficult materials.

Job Responsibilities
  • Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision.
  • Produce weldments per drawings using good workmanship practices.
  • Work in conjunction with procedures and drawings to determine the fit-up required and complete the operation soundly and without distortion.
  • Ensure that all equipment is set up, used, and left in a safe and clean manner. Alert Maintenance of any anticipated repair needs.
  • Ensure that parts are directed to the appropriate area.
  • Ensure proper labeling of all weldments.
  • Ensure that all weldments are properly inspected for compliance with all applicable tolerances.
  • Operate overhead crane and drive forklift.
  • Use correct lifting techniques.
  • Fully support the Company’s ISO objectives, policies, procedures and the GK SCOPE program.
  • Comply with and participate in training on all safety rules.
  • Be physically able to work on our equipment, including climbing ladders, crawling under objects and lifting in excess of 70 pounds.
  • Adhere to existing policies and procedures and build technical knowledge.
  • Resolve routine problems by identifying and analyzing problems logically and comprehensively.
  • Take ownership and show support for workplace initiatives.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of wire fed MIG welding experience.
  • Must have adequate tools to complete assigned duties.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
Pay

$23.00 to $25.00 hourly. The range is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to, a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
