Associate Student Ministry Pastor

To develop, implement and oversee a ministry that is designed to proclaim the gospel, cultivate disciple making relationships and nurture students of our congregation to actively demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ in the world.

• Provide a consistent leadership presence in the lives of middle school and high school students
• Provide spiritual leadership, biblical guidance and pastoral care to the student ministry, fostering a culture of faith, love and service
• Help create and cast vision for student ministry, consistent with the vision, mission and values of EFCCL Church and with an eye toward the future
• Create and implement a mentoring plan for identifying, recruiting and developing new student leaders and adult leaders
• Work with the student ministries pastor to recruit, train, shepherd and hold accountable adult ministry leaders who serve in ministry
• Cultivate and empower lay leaders by delegating responsibilities, developing their gifts and fostering a collaborative environment
• To lead well in administration duties in ministry, church and budgeting. To be able to communicate clearly with those they lead in ministry
• Work with the student ministries pastor to help schedule and plan student ministry events (i.e., Sunday School, Wednesday evening Bible studies, outreach, mission projects and other calendar events) for the ministry
• Study and teach scripture to students to lead them to follow Jesus, connect in community and multiply their lives. Training them up to live a disciple making way of life
• Attend staff meetings and training opportunities as determined by the student ministries pastor and senior pastor
• Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the student ministries pastor and senior pastor
