We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Asphalt Paver/Screed Operator for a full-time, on-site role located in Crystal Lake, IL. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating asphalt paving and screed equipment to apply asphalt to roadways, parking lots, and other surfaces while ensuring even distribution and smooth finishes. Other duties involve monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance checks, and collaborating with the paving team to meet project requirements and ensure job site safety and efficiency.
Qualifications- Experience operating asphalt paving machines, screed/equipment, or related machinery
- Understanding of asphalt paving techniques, materials, and quality control processes
- Proficiency in equipment maintenance and performance monitoring
- Strong teamwork and communication skills for effective collaboration with crew members
- Attention to detail and the ability to ensure smooth and even surface paving
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in varying outdoor weather conditions
- Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Previous construction or asphalt paving experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the job site
