Plant Technician; Night shift Maintenance

As a Plant Technician at our Croydon site, you will help maintain unique industrial plastic foam manufacturing equipment, including steam boilers, thermal oil heaters, high-pressure compressors, extrusion lines, and associated systems. Your work keeps our plant safe, reliable, and continuously improving.

• Inspect plant and equipment routinely, identify and correct deficiencies, and elevate issues where needed.
• Record accurate, detailed reports for all work in our computerised system.
• Deliver planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.
• Lead and support process improvements, developing new ideas and solutions.
• Report and control Health and Safety risks and promote safe practices across the site.

• Mechanical or Electrical qualification (Level 3 or above).
• At least 5 years’ industrial or practical experience.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Understanding of SCADA or automated systems.
• Experience with electrical fault finding, problem analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Maintenance experience, ideally using a CMMS.

• Initiative and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and IT skills.
• Clear communication, with solid literacy and numeracy.
