Role Overview

The Trust is seeking a Band 6 Diagnostic Radiographer to provide high-quality imaging services within an acute NHS hospital setting. The postholder will work as part of a multidisciplinary radiology team, delivering safe, effective and patient-centred diagnostic imaging services in line with Trust policies and national standards.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols

Ensure safe use of ionising radiation in line with IR(ME)
R regulations

Deliver high standards of patient care, dignity and communication

Work efficiently within a busy imaging department to meet service demands

Maintain accurate clinical records using RIS / PACS systems

Adhere to clinical governance, infection prevention and health & safety policies

Contribute to service continuity and support team-based working

Essential Requirements

HCPC registered Diagnostic Radiographer

NHS experience at Band 6 level

Competence in general radiography within an acute hospital environment

Strong understanding of radiation safety and IR(ME)

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team

Excellent communication and professional standards
