Our Mechanical engineering team supports clients with the management of their assets, from designing new build treatments to assessing the condition of existing plant and machinery. They play a key role in helping clients develop new assets or improve existing ones, delivering better performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Pumping calculations and specifications.
- Production of system schematics.
- Creation of equipment and drive schedules.
- Development of engineering specification documents for hydraulics and pump systems.
- Assist clients with project delivery, asset and network performance and design.
- Produce lifting, access and maintenance plans.
- Coordinate with internal and external design teams, clients, and contractors.
- Provide timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead.
- BEng Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above, or equivalent);
- MEng in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above, or equivalent) preferred.
- Relevant work experience an advantage.
- Enthusiastic, hard‑working, technically proficient, with ambition and drive.
- Basic computer skills essential (Word/Excel) and good report writing skills beneficial.
- Water related modules an advantage.
- Willing and able to pursue professional qualifications such as IET & IMechE.
- Demonstrable interest in water projects.
- Capability to satisfy client and business expectations and consider wider financial and commercial implications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to structure and prioritise work through close cooperation with the team.
- Independence in work while maintaining initiative and focus.
