Job OverviewPhoenix Renovation & Design is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This role is ideal for a skilled carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys leading jobsite operations with professionalism and attention to detail.
As the Lead Carpenter, you will serve as the on‑site leader responsible for coordinating daily carpentry work, guiding team members, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the company’s high standards. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and homeowners to deliver exceptional remodeling results across kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and full interior renovations.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and perform all aspects of residential carpentry including framing, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and finish work
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction documents
- Manage daily jobsite workflow and coordinate project progress
- Supervise and mentor assistant carpenters and laborers
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project managers
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with homeowners regarding project progress
- Ensure quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout each phase of construction
- Identify potential issues and provide practical solutions to keep projects moving forward
- 5+ years of hands‑on carpentry experience (residential remodeling preferred)
- Strong rough and finish carpentry skills
- Proven ability to lead a crew and manage jobsite workflow
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail
- Professional attitude and strong communication skills
- $32 – $38 + per hour, based on experience
