Assisting Hands Home Care – Merrillville is hiring Caregivers, Home Health Aides (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Aides (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP), and Home Care Assistants to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors and adults in Crown Point, Lake County, and Porter County.

Caregivers will support clients by providing:

• Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, ambulation, transfers)
• Companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and organization
• Safe mobility assistance (walker, wheelchair)
• Medication reminders (no administration required)
• Observing and reporting any changes in condition
• Using a mobile app for clock-in/out, care notes, and communication
• Following infection control and safety procedures
• Maintaining confidentiality and professional standards

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred: 1+ year experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, DSP, or similar role
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• Able to pass a national background check
• Current CPR certification and TB test (or willing to obtain prior to start)
• Dependable, compassionate, professional, and patient
• Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication

• Position Type: PRN or Part-Time
• Schedule: Flexible — days, evenings, overnights, weekends
• Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
• Location: Crown Point, IN + surrounding Lake & Porter County communities
• Reports To: Staffing Coordinator
