We are seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic surgical team delivering high-quality patient care in a fast‑paced operating room environment. As a Travel OR RN, you will work alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Serve as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse during surgical procedures
- Ensure proper preparation of the operating room, including equipment and sterile supplies
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition during procedures
Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols - Collaborate with the surgical team to promote patient safety and positive outcomes
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with hospital policies
- Assist with post‑operative recovery and patient transfer as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (required)
- ACLS certification (preferred, depending on facility)
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent Operating Room experience
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties preferred
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in fast‑paced clinical environments
