Sen Teaching Assistant

About the Role
Edu Talent Group is hiring a SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with complex and sensory needs. This role is based in a specialist school for pupils aged 4–19 with a wide range of special educational needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will provide 1:1 and small group support, implement personalised learning strategies, and help students develop independence, confidence, and engagement.

Requirements

* Experience supporting students with SEND, including complex and sensory needs, and those with EHCPs

* Knowledge of strategies to support students with PMLD, SLD, ASD, sensory processing difficulties, ADHD or SEMH needs

* Ability to provide 1:1 or small group support and adapt learning to individual needs

* Understanding of sensory interventions and techniques to support engagement and wellbeing

* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff

* Understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and behaviour management procedures

* Flexible, proactive and resourceful approach to supporting student learning
