Part-Time Patient Service Rep

Overview

University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Part Time Patient Service Representative (PSR) for Rocky Top ENT & Allergy located in Oak Ridge, TN. The position may include some local travel as needed.

• Greet patients in friendly and timely manner
• Ensure that patients complete necessary forms required for the electronic health record and billing office
• Maintain patient demographic and insurance information; verifies insurance eligibility and collects co-pays
• Check out patients and make sure they have appropriate information for their follow up appointment
• Perform end of day tasks for billing
• Ensure good patient flow through practice by timely processing of patients as they arrive at front office
• Answer patient inquiries regarding patient registration information or billing questions
• Refers patient inquiries regarding medical care or treatment to medical assistant or physician
• Schedules patients with appropriate physician
• Document scanning into electronic health record
• Other duties as assigned (Scheduling incoming referrals, filing incoming faxes appropriately, etc)
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organization are critical to the overall success of the candidate
