Production Assembly

As a part of the Production Team, a Production Assembly Worker will be responsible for all required assemblies and installations on heavy‑duty transit buses in the assigned work area on the production line, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

We are seeking Production Assembly Workers for two different shifts.

• 1st shift – Monday - Friday 7a‑3:30p with the possibility of manned overtime M‑Th until 5:30p and every other Saturday (7a‑3:30p).
• 2nd shift – Monday
  -Thursday 3p‑1:30a with the possibility of manned overtime every other Friday (3p‑11:30p).

• Performs all installations and/or assemblies within a specified work area on the production line.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.
• Ensures quality and consistency in installations and/or assemblies within a specified work area.
• Builds to specifications while utilizing measurement tools and basic math skills.
• Uses hand and air tools; regularly exposed to vibration and occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
• Lifts and moves up to 10 pounds, frequently lifts up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Bends, stoops, reaches, climbs up and down, and works using a ladder.
• Keeps the workstation clean and in safe working condition.
• Is present on the job and able to work overtime as often required to meet production schedules.

• Ability to use small hand and power tools repetitively, and measuring equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and follow intermediate measurements and instructions with a strong mechanical aptitude.
• Team player, self‑starter, able to work in a team setting.
• Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, excellent time‑management skills.
• Lifts at least 50 lbs.; frequently bends, works above head, climbs ladders; stays on feet for majority of shift.
