Be part of the Family

We’re a family business through and through – family owned since 1868, family run and with a warm family welcome for guests and team alike. Our seven hotels are unique and set in three stunning Scottish locations. Some are big, some are small, but all offer fantastic food and drink, cozy beds and a wealth of things to do.

We offer an expansive range of benefits to help you make the most of life outside of work, and we’re committed to creating an inclusive culture where everyone feels heard and valued.

We treat our guests like family, and we support our people the same way. If you’re someone who lives our values of Be Creative, Be Curious, Be Thoughtful, Be Positive and Be You, you’ll fit right in.

About the Role

Are you passionate about making a difference and connecting people with opportunities? We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and driven individual to join our People team in this exciting new role. You’ll play a key part in shaping how we engage with our communities, attract talent, and build a strong employer brand.

This is a dynamic position covering multiple sites across the business, so flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential. You’ll have the chance to work independently, take ownership of projects, and collaborate with a supportive team that values fresh ideas and innovation.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our outreach and engagement efforts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Be Our Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at careers fairs and school/college events, showcasing career opportunities and building strong community connections. You’ll design eye-catching displays and create materials that inspire future talent.
  • Shape Early Careers: Coordinate work experience programs with local schools, helping young people gain valuable insights into the world of work.
  • Drive Recruitment Success: Support the full recruitment cycle—from screening and interviews to onboarding—while creating branded job templates that reflect our identity.
  • Own Our Online Presence: Create and manage engaging content across social media and our careers website to attract and inform potential candidates.
  • Keep Our People Connected: Develop internal communications through creative channels like poster boards and canteen screens, ensuring everyone stays informed and engaged.
  • Champion Our Brand: Work closely with Marketing to maintain consistent branding across all internal and external communications.
  • Lead Projects That Matter: Support People team initiatives and contribute to collaborative projects that enhance our culture and employee experience.
  • Build Partnerships: Develop relationships with external organisations such as DYW and DWP to strengthen our community impact.
  • Boost Engagement: Collaborate with the Social Committee to promote activities and events that bring our people together.
  • Measure Your Impact: Provide regular reports on progress, performance, and outcomes.
Why Join Us?

This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to make a real impact. You’ll help shape how we connect with communities, attract talent, and create an inclusive workplace where people thrive. If you’re creative, proactive, and love working with people, this role is for you.

What we’re looking for
  • Excellent communications skills - both written and verbal.
  • Confident working with multiple systems and learning to efficiently use new ones. Experience with Microsoft 365, Recruit Genie, Social Media and Canva would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Creative - able to create engaging community/careers events and company communications.
  • Teamwork - able to work as an effective team player to ensure People team goals are achieved.
  • Pro‑active - able to take ownership of the role and make it your own.
