Flexographic Printer Assistant

Position Overview

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Flexographic Printer Assistant to support our printing operations. This role is essential to ensuring the smooth operation of flexographic presses by assisting the press operator with setup, material handling, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn the flexographic printing process.

• Assist the press operator in setting up and running flexographic printing presses
• Prepare and stage raw materials such as substrates, inks, and plates
• Clean anilox rollers, ink pans, and other press components
• Monitor print quality and alert the operator to any inconsistencies
• Help with press maintenance and basic troubleshooting tasks
• Manage waste and ensure proper disposal of materials
• Keep the press area clean, organised, and stocked with supplies
• Accurately complete production documentation and job records
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

• Secondary School educated or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or printing environment preferred
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb and standing for long periods
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed

• Previous experience assisting in a flexographic or similar print setting
• Familiarity with printing inks, substrates, and press components
