Exciting Opportunity for a Learning Disability Nurse within LDCAMHS Cheshire.

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Learning Disability Nurse to join our LD CAMHS team. In this role, you will provide high‑quality behavioural and sleep assessments and interventions to children and young people who have a Severe Learning Disability and who exhibit challenging behaviours. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualised care plans aimed at improving outcomes for our clients.

• Conduct comprehensive behavioural and sleep assessments for children and young people who have a Severe Learning Disability.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence‑based interventions tailored to the needs of each individual.
• Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
• Travel across the Cheshire area as needed to provide timely support to clients.
• Provide group workshops to parents.

The post holder will be joining an established community team consisting of Learning Disability Nurses, Advanced Clinical Support Workers, Assistant Psychologists, a Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and Administrative staff.
