Key Responsibilities
* Support the Finance Business Partner in delivering financial management support to services such as Libraries and Housing.
* Assist with the annual closure of accounts, including preparation of working papers and supporting schedules.
* Contribute to in-year budget monitoring, ensuring accurate financial reporting and variance analysis.
* Support the annual budget setting process for service areas within the Place directorate.
* Prepare financial reports, forecasts and analysis to support managers and senior stakeholders.
* Provide finance advice and support to service managers to help them manage their budgets effectively.
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
* Assist in responding to financial queries from managers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements:
* Experience providing finance support to managers, including budget monitoring and financial advice.
* Experience assisting with financial reporting and financial processes such as budget monitoring or accounts preparation.
* Experience of year end accounting/closure of accounts
Location - Crewe (2-3 times per month after initial training in person in Crewe)
