Management Accountant

Location:

Crewe (Office-Based)

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year

The Role

The Management Accountant position is a key hire within the finance function. You will take ownership of the financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of group entities, operating within a multi-entity, high-growth environment.

This role offers broad exposure across management accounting, stakeholder partnering, audit, and process improvement, making it well suited to a qualified accountant looking to add real commercial value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership of daily transactional accounting within assigned entities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts in line with group reporting deadlines
  • Delivery of clear P&L variance analysis, articulating performance against budget and identifying key trends
  • Detailed balance sheet and cashflow reviews as part of the monthly close process
  • Oversight of weekly cashflow forecasting, including variance analysis
  • Ensuring intercompany reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
  • Acting as a finance partner to local senior leadership, supporting operational and commercial decision-making
  • Leading audit activity for designated entities, liaising directly with external auditors
  • Producing ad-hoc financial analysis to support business initiatives and strategic decisions
  • Continually reviewing and improving processes to drive efficiency and best practice
About You
  • PQ / Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong analytical skills with a logical, problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing deadlines
  • Confident communicator across finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Experience with in a multi-entity or group environment is highly desirable
  • Embraces change and enjoys working in fast-paced, evolving organisations
