Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analysis Manager to join our team in Crewe, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving data‑driven decision‑making and providing strategic insights to optimise our commercial performance.

  • Management of a team of commercial analysts, to lead and improve delivery of reports, projects and implementing continuous improvement
  • Preparation of reforecasts and budget analysis to support business delivery, and regular reporting and analysis to monitor business performance, track key initiatives and progress to budgets and reforecasts
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue, profitability, and key performance indicators
  • Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to present complex data in a clear and actionable format
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and business planning
  • Conduct in‑depth analysis of sales data, market trends, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commercial strategies and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Lead ad‑hoc technical assignments and analysis projects to address specific business challenges and opportunities
  • Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and insightful
  • Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and best practices in commercial analysis
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial analysis or a related field
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience with Tableau and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business performance
  • Experience in the retail or e‑commerce industry is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and pricing strategies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment
  • Excellent time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
