Position Title:
Directions Program Head Mentor
Department:
Career, Leadership, and Service
Responsible for overseeing the successful mentoring relationships between 21 mentors and 42 mentees in the Directions Program.
General Description and Duties- Prepare weekly mentor guides and send guides to mentors.
- Meet with every Directions mentor for 30 minutes once per semester.
- Plan and facilitate the Directions Mentor training with Hansen Leadership Program staff.
- Attend LDR courses (as availability allows), grade class assignments, and facilitate some LDR class content.
- Must have worked as a Directions Mentor for at least one year
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Time management and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable with facilitating material to a group of 20 people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Three per week (on average). Some weeks will require more hours than others. The Head Directions Mentor is paid $700 per semester for their work.
