Mother Teresa Catholic Academy, a small Catholic PreK–8 school in Crete, IL, is seeking a passionate and faith-filled Spanish Teacher to instruct students in grades 1–8. This is a part-time position with the potential for full-time depending on the candidate’s additional skills (e.g., teaching art, music, technology, or providing classroom/intervention support).

• Energetic, flexible, and enthusiastic about language instruction
• Values small-school community life
• Interested in either part-time or expanding to full-time based on school needs

• Teach Spanish language and culture to elementary and middle school students
• Differentiate instruction across grade levels (1st–8th) and for new speakers and bilingual students
• Promote listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish
• Support the Catholic identity and mission of the school
• Maintain classroom management and a positive learning environment
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student progress

• Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or related field (required)
• Elementary or middle school teaching experience preferred
• Fluency in Spanish; ability to scaffold instruction by grade level
• Practicing Catholic or respectful of Catholic teaching and school mission
• Illinois teaching license preferred (or in progress)
• Additional teaching skills welcomed (art, music, tech, intervention, etc.)
